#252001– Lyons SD 103 Summer 2025 Roof Work

SECTION 002000 – NOTICE TO BIDDERS

A. Lyons School District 103 (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive prime contract bids for the following project until 10:00 a.m., local time, on March 27, 2025 at the Administration Office, 4100 Joliet Road, Lyons, IL 60534.

B. Bids will be publicly opened and read the time noted above at the Lyons School District 103 Administration Board Room.

C. Bid Package documents, drawings, and specifications shall be available on or after March 10, 2025. Bidders may visit the following websites to obtain the bid documents. Printing and shipping costs shall be the responsibility of the bidder: www.cordoganclarkplanroom.com or www.buildingconnected.com

D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.

E. A pre-bid meeting will be on March 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm starting at George Washington Middle School, 8101 Ogden Avenue, Lyons, IL 60534 then traveling to the other schools. Bidders are highly encouraged to attend the meeting.

F. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.

G. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to accept the bid that is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, which is in the best interests of the district.

H. This Notice is written in the name of the Owner by Cordogan Clark & Associates.
